Our Client is European market leader for smoke alarms and the preferred partner of the housing industry and skilled trades. As a leading company, they have an extensive range of smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms and have successfully established ourselves as a solution provider in the German market. Now they are expanding to Poland, and looking for Business Development Manager to lead this project.

Business Development Manager

As Business Development Manager for Poland, you will drive the expansion with the aim of building strong relationships with new partners and customers, especially in the housing industry. Your main goal is to develop strategic partnerships and identify new business opportunities.

Your tasks:

  • Strategy: Developing and implementing a comprehensive national business strategy, based on the company’s overall strategy, to develop Polish market access.
  • Network building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Market analysis: Identifying and approaching key decision makers within your market.
  • Sales: Acquiring new customers and building strategic business relationships as well as representing the company at customer events.
  • Teamwork: Close co-operation with colleagues in Düsseldorf is the key to our success.

The requirements:

  • Education: You have completed a commercial or technical apprenticeship or a degree in a related field.
  • Experience: You have proven experience in business development, solution sales, product management or a similar role.
  • Enthusiasm for business development: You are enthusiastic about future development and open for new business areas, and you have a proven track record in business development.
  • Networking: You quickly build trust and act as a reliable partner both internally and externally.
  • Willingness to learn: You are motivated to learn new things in the technical and sales areas. You continuously develop yourself further to be up to date.
  • Strong communication skills: Communication and negotiation skills are your strengths and make you the ideal contact person for our potential customers.
  • Independence and goal orientation: Independent and goal-oriented work is a matter of course for you, and you can achieve your goals independently.
  • Languages: Polish is your mother tongue, and you have negotiating skills in German and/or English.
  • Willingness to travel: Do you enjoy traveling? Perfect! Willingness to travel within Poland and to various events is not just routine for you, but an exciting part of your job.
